You should have taken her to the vet when it first started. The "clicking" you can hear is difficulty breathing brought on by a respiratory infection. If she isn't eating get her to the vet RIGHT AWAY, you shouldn't have left her until she started losing so much weight.
I've got to be honest with you - if she's not eating her outlook isn't good. She may need intensive nursing for a few days with antibiotics and feeding milk with a dropper if she's not eaten in a long time. And surely the health and wellbeing of an animal you love is worth ANY distance??
I would suggest you start calling around to your local vets and find out where the closest small animal vet is.
Check her teeth, they may be overgrown. She may not be able to eat if her teeth are too long.
What other symptoms does she have?
I think a regular vet could help you with the rat as a lot of people have them for pets...she is ill and unless she gets to the vet and gets some meds ;she;s not going to make it ...good luck
shes having trouble breathing. is it possible that she was a runt?
If you absoulutley cannot find a vet then you can also get her checked out at a petstore or something. They won't treat her but they can probably tell you what is wrong so you know what precautions to take and what to do until you can see a vet.
seperate them first off untill you find out what is wrong. try looking up a vet that treats them it's easyier then you think. try feeding her something really yummy and see if that gets her to eat. like peanut butter cookies. it's not good for her but at least it is something. it's possible the other rat is to aggressive and is eatting all the food. that could make her thinner and prone to ill ness. gett her to a vet as soon as possible.
she should go to the vet. it could be a myco flare up or it could be a respiratory infection. in both cases she'll need antibiotices to help her get better.
i think maybe she might not like the food. you should try to change the food as soon as possible or take her to the vet!
