Are ferrets good pets?
Answers:
They are the sweetest little things. You should absolutely get one.
i love them! in the first 2 weeks thow u need to get it used to u. they can be litter traind and like little dogs or cats depending on there mood lol. they love to play and take stuff lol. and just give them a weekly bath. i love them to death!
Yes they are lovely pets,
But they stink a bit.
I wouldnt keep them indoors!
actually if you dont have good patience dont get one.
I heard around half of ferret owners dispose or abandon there pet ferret within 6 months of having it.
they are not for the weak of heart :)
they can be fun to play with, but they are little thieves. they like things that are shinny, like jewelry, so they take it and hide it.
they are very smart when it comes to escaping their cages. for some unknown reason, they can figure out how to get out of the cage, no matter how you secure it.
my boyfriend's ferret gets out every night and sometimes, it
climbs under the blankets at the bottom of the bed and crawls up the inside of his leg. it still scares the heck out of him because he always thinks he's found a way to keep it locked in.
they can be very destructive also. making holes in furniture, gets into cabinets that contain food or doing their business in places you wouldn't think they would ever fit. the smell can get pretty awful by the time you figure out where it's coming from.
i've heard they are
I agree with pretty much everyone who posted, and owning two of them, I now how they can be. They are extremely fun and playful. But giving them a bath every week is way too much, they only need a bath about once a month, as too many baths will take out the natural oils in their skin and actually make them smelly.
And they really don't stink at all if you give them a bath every month and get them spayed/neutered and descented.
All in all they are great pets, but require lots of time and energy!
i dont know i heard they were mean but i wont know because i had hamsters
