Are hamsters easy to take care of?

are hamsters easy to take care of cause my friends died and i thought having hamsters are hard
Answers:
They are "easy" per say but the problem is THEY ARE SO DAMN SMART. You have to literally make sure the cage is escape proof because they will use it to their advantage and get out. Other then that yeah I would say they are pretty easy to take care of. Once they are tame and settle down. To save yourself painful bites don't buy any hamster that seems shy or scared buy one that seems comfortable around humans.
I think they are quite easy to take care of. I feed mine every other day and clean their cage about once a week. It really does not get much harder then that. Make sure they have anice quiet spot to live, water and food and they will be oaky!
No they are not easy to take care of and their gross...they will stink up your whole house you have to clean there cage daily because their urine is really strong. I think a lot of people assume they are easy to take care of cause their small animals, but if they escape good luck!. And their like rabbits so make sure to get only one...lol
ya hamsters are easy to take care of they are very low mantence animals and need little space hammies like to be alone and do not like people and they bite all the time
Hamsters basically take care of themselves as long as you provided them with everything they need. Food and water, an area to excercise, and a place where they can hide and feel secure. I would recommend cleaning the cage at least once a week, sometimes even twice. Their pee reaks!! Try getting some bedding that neutralizes the odor.
They're extremely easy to take care of. All ya gotta do is get them a good cage that they can't get out of, a couple toys [exercise wheel type thing], and some sort of block of wood or something they can gnaw on to keep their teeth down. Make sure you give them fresh food and water everyday. Clean their cage once a week. When you clean their cage you need a place to put them. Get them a ball they can roll around in [buy it at the petstore] and make sure they cant roll their way down any stairs, because that would be tragic. Oh, and don't let them near bigger pets [cats, dogs]
They live about two to three years.
Hamsters are good at escaping, tend to bite and seem to die suddenly. My advice to someone wanting a rodent as a pet it to get a rat. Rats are smart (so are hamsters), but rats tend to be friendlier and not bite, rats are nice and clean, rats make great pets and are easier to handle.
hamsters are really easy. Just clean there cage about once a week and you dont even have to give a whole lot of attention to them. Just hold them like every other day.
hampsters need attention and care, they are not hard to talke care of if you love them. if you want an animal that is easy to take care of, here is a good list,
fish
hermet crabs
lobsters
snakes
spiders
scorpians
pretty much, any animal that you can't play with...
if you want someting easy, then no offence, but u dont deserve a good pet..
It can be hard but if you have lots of time it is pretty easy and if you have a mean hamster sure it can be hard but i have the sweetest one ever if you are thinking of getting a hamster i would get a Syrian hamster cuz they are easier to hold than dwarf hamsters. AND if you want one i would recommend doing lots and lots of research just to make sure you want one because it will be hard if you don't know how to take care of one and it is a LOT of work!!
No it's not that hard i have 2 dwarf my female is pregnant how hard will it be for me not really lol i read a lot about em so if you know quite a lot it will be easy always read stuff about them so you know what to do that will really help the hamster propably dies of age or something else
But it you do choose to get a hamster then make sure you have the right the right equipment...
Wire cage and chinese hamsters only allowed to have wired well ure allower wired cages to any hammy but ma dwarfs got through the wire gaps thx bye
