Are hedghogs baby porkupines?

my cousin and i are fighting on weather or not a hedghog is a baby porkupine or not.i thing its a totally diffrent speices but not my cousin of coarse.

No, you are right. Hedghogs and porcupines are different species entirely! :)
they are way different. Here is a few sites to show him/her. Plus people have Hedgehogs for pets I dont think people would keep a Porcupine as a pet at all.

Nope. They're not related to one another at all. Hedgehogs are part of the shrew family.
quite clearly your cousin has either never seen a hedgehog, or never seen a porqupine as they are so obviously not related only a complete twit could make that mistake. Though possibly your cousin is a complete twit.

No way! A hedgehog isn't even close to a porcipine! A porcipine has long, needle-like quills, and the hedgehog has short, non-needle-like quills. Besides, hedgehogs are in the shrew family! Your cousin is WAY wrong!

A hedgehog isn't even in the same FAMILY species as a porcupine. A guinea pig IS related to a porcupine though.
