Are Hamsters allowed to eat Watermelon, tomatos, potatos, oranges, bugs, or grass?

I'm not saying I gave them these, just asking. : )
Answers:
Some of these are okay, while some of them aren't.
-Watermelon is not okay to feed, because it can make your hamster sick.
-Tomatoes contain citric acid, and can give your hamster a stomach ache. Avoid feeding any fruits or veggies that contain citric acid.
-Potatoes are okay to feed to your hamster in moderation, but just make sure that they're washed.
-Oranges, like tomatoes, are acidic, and make your hamster sick.
-Certain bugs are safe to feed, but NEVER catch these outside. If you decide to feed them, buy them at a pet store in the lizard section. Crickets, locusts, mealworms, and certain beetles are safe to feed. If you have any doubt about whether a type of bug is safe for hamsters, ask a pet store employee while you are buying them.
I wouldn't give one these - either too watery or too acidic. Don't know about the bugs - probably best to avoid the bugs as well. Not sure about the grass.
Carrots, apples and grapes in small quantities are OK though.
i will say yes, because i give my hamsters all that. they really like it but my dad says to try not giving them so much sweets,(fruits)but they love vegetables.you could give them all that."my hamster loves green apples and carrots"
after 24 hrs remove it "only fresh" vegtebles"
you could give them grass!!
I have pet rats and I think all small animals pretty much eat the same things. I do know for certain that the big things you definitely DON'T want to feed your small animals are caffeine (as in chocolate, soda, or coffee) and alcohol. The best thing to feed your hamster, of course, is probably hamster food, since it is specially made with all the nutrients pet hamsters need. But I sincerely doubt that fresh fruit and veggies would hurt them if you gave them these occasionally as special treats.
I wouldn't go with watermelon, very watery and sticky. Tomatoes, no, acidic. Potatoes, probably not. Oranges, way to acidic. Bugs, hamsters aren't carnivores. Grass, would he even like that? Carrots and celery might do. As well as his regular hamster food. You wouldn't want to give him food he wasn't used to, it may upset his digestive system. I wouldn't take chances.
i wouldn't give your hamster watermelon. watermelon is a bad thing to give your hamster! Here is a site that tells you what you can feed your hamster!http://www.pethamsters.co.uk/foods.html...
it is a really good site so go there!
deffo not watermelon potatoes and oranges. im not so sure about tomatoes or grass but they can eat some bugs. i have a bearded dragon and we buy crickets and meals worms for him and my hamster loves them. you can also give them a bit of cooked chicken. also you shouldnt give them fresh food straight from the fridge because it will be too cold for them to handle. hope this helps.x
they could eat tomatoes but in moderation...i wouldnt give them the rest of what u named at all coz it contains too much water and it can make them bloated which is not good regarding how small they are...
no tomatoes, too much citrus acid, only mealy worms for bugs, they can eat lots of fruit and veggies, no onions no salty stuff, no leafy greens, get the poops.
