They are both fairly young. Even at the low end of the average life span, the 2 year old still has about 3 years. She needs a good home (which I know you will give her) just as much as the other younger piggie.
Those health problems can occur at almost any age. It is all about care and genetics. In theory, a female can get ovarian cysts as soon as she is fertile. While a boar is usually older when he suffers from impaction, it can happen at any time. Luckily, neither of my boys have had any problems yet (*knock on wood). They are both under a year old.
It all depends on the care, and the pig. For instance, my guinea pig Jules got Impaction three days ago, and his birthday is August 21st (he isn't even 1 yet).
Rodney has never had Impaction in his life, and he is four.
Try www.guinealynx.com for research on the subjects you're interested in. You can use the care guide to find treatments, eating habits, and care tips. The forum is also an interactive version of this, with some pretty nice people on it.
I would say that you should get two pigs as well, because that makes them happier. And you should make sure to give the pig or pigs proper cage sizes.

Hope this helps.
If you want to know when the female guinea pig was sexually maturte, she was sexually mature at three months old. Unfortunatly, she is now too old to have babies. Having a first litter at this age could kill her.But if she has a litter before, she should be fine giving birth. For the male, he will not be sexually mature until he is three years old. Both guinea pigs are "adults" though. All guinea pigs become adults at about eight months old...I think.
