Another Chinchila Question!!!!?

I let my Chinchila run around in my room and ive got a cat.I let the cat go into my room to see what would happen and then the cat started chasing the chinchila and then i was scared that the chinchila would get killed by the cat .Will the cat kill chinchila or were they just playing.
Answers:
Sorry to say this, but the cat would probably try to eat the chinchilla, and even if the cat just wanted to play, it would probably play much too rough for a chinchilla. Chinchillas usually don't like cats anyway, so its best just to leave chinchillas and cats separate.
Your cat has the potential to kill your chinchilla. I would not let them loose together any longer if I were you.
The cat will definitely kill the chinchilla. Cats chase things out of pure curiosity and playfulness anyway. If the cat came in contact with the chinchilla in a situation like this, the chinchilla would likely get scratched on purpose or on accident. And chinchillas are rodents... This incident probably scared it half to death. You can't do that to them! It could have a heart attack or be seriously injured by the cat! It seems like you're an awfully irresponsible chinchilla owner, which is a shame, since they're already abused by bad owners and owned by furriers. Do some research and have some heart! Animals deserve the same respect as people!
