is that true?
Answers:
I've heard that red or purple cabbage does.. can't say if it's true.
But too much cabbage will actually give your hamster diarrhoea, so please don't give him too much.
Generally a healthy diet consisting of a good mix dried food, and some fruit and veggies each day, will keep your hamster healthy. I'd advice only feeding cabbage or lettuce about once a week. Other than that you can give him apples, pears, and most other fruit.. cucumber, carrot, turnip/swede, cooked peas and runner beans, brown bread, cooked spaghetti..
General rule is no onion, no garlic, no citrus, no spices, and not too much salt.
Probably, but other vegetables may do that also...I'm not sure...

I really think that it is but either way trust the people that work there! i mean they don't want to kill your hamster and i did have a hamster and i feed him cabbage so it works =D hope i helped
Cabbage, brussels sprouts and lettuce (not iceberg lettuce) should be given in small amounts only. But if your hamsters fur around the tail is dirty, and possibly wet, it could be diarrehea, or the first sign of wet tail. Take your hamster to the vet at once. I haven't had a hamster in years, but never heard the cabbage-wettail remedy. I'd check with the vet.
Yes, purple cabbage helps lower the risk of wet tail.
Just be careful, as feeding too much fresh fruit and veggies can contribute to wet tail. Be sure to limit her fresh snacks and not overfeed him/her too many fruits and veggies with high water content, such as lettuce.Wet tail is a contagious condition more common in younger hamsters Some contributing factors are stress or from a messy cage.
Yes. Cabbage, carrots and oats will all help. If wet tail has already developed, switch your hamster to a diet of oats and add Dri-tail into his water.
no too much can give them the runs.
Well if he said it then it's true. Wow you know you just tought me something i never knew!!
